引言 Prelude

去年七月，受尽万人崇拜的伯格曼、安东尼奥尼都相继逝世，教人无胜唏嘘，感慨这个时代不再拥有大师导演。

然而取而代之，这是弱肉强食的社会里必然发生之事。一批批新势力导演已经挂着新浪潮导演的名字而鹊起。这些导演不愿意只屈服大师导演的影子下。总会有那么一些，是可以为这个电影届带来破局的导演，已经让作品艳惊四座，成为二十一世纪不可或缺的导演。

而马来西亚，更是开始看见一些端倪，让沉寂已久的马来西亚电影带来一线曙光。近年来，陈翠梅、李添兴、何宇恒、或是近期屡获肯定的刘城达无不为马来西亚观众带来惊喜。这些导演经已凝聚了一股力量，准备为马来西亚电影带来更多的冲击。

这个时候，新纪元学院戏剧与影像系的学生，也经过了两年半的培养，摩拳擦掌，势必要轰轰烈烈的创出一片属于自己的天空。“大马制造毕业影展”就因此而诞生了。

“大马制造”除了是一群毕业生准备为自己在马来西亚电影史里正名而喊出的口号以外，更是一股力量，准备挑战那些已经有所名气的导演。“大马制造毕业影展”不只是要让观众认识这些新势力的导演，更是要让观众看见不一样视野的电影。除此之外，更是让观众得以与导演们交流，以推广电影。

这次影展正是一次向院内外观众审视这些学生们两年来修成正果的机会。这是一个交流的平台。这是一个推广影像的平台。这是一个学生们呐喊心声的平台。这是一个培育未来导演的平台。这是一个影像的世界。关于这个世界的影像，即将透过这些学生们独有的视野，作一次完美的诠释。

第三届毕业生 敬启

In July 2007, we lost two great masters of films, Ingmar Bergman and Michelangelo Antonioni. All of a sudden, it seems there are no masters in the world of films anymore.

However, a younger force is rising. They refuse to be the shadow of the great masters, and some of them, in some day, will be one of the most important film directors in the 21^st century.

The force of independent films in Malaysia shed some lights to the Malaysian film scene. Names like Tan Chui Mui, James Lee, Ho Yu Hang and Lew Seng Tat surprised Malaysian audiences with their creativity and become strong forces of Malaysian film.

The graduating students of New Era College Drama and Visuals Department after 2 and a half years of learning, are soon ready to break into the world of film. “Made in DaMa” eventually arise.

“Made in DaMa” not only would like to introduce new directors to fellow Malaysians, but would also bring audiences some films that show different perspectives. Furthermore, we would also like to enhance the communication between filmmakers and audiences and also to promote local films to towns in other states in Malaysia.
